GAU Karmi Campus

General Architecture and Harmony with the Environment

Karmi Campus’ building design exhibits a modern and minimalist approach without harming the surrounding natural beauty. The natural stones used in the architecture provide a harmonious appearance with nature throughout the campus. The buildings are designed with large balconies, stone cladding and large glass surfaces inspired by traditional Cypriot architecture. Thanks to these glass surfaces, the buildings receive natural light and energy savings are achieved. This ensures that the campus is sustainable in terms of energy efficiency.

Functional Design

The design of the buildings in GAU Karmi Campus is designed to meet the academic and social needs of the students. The classrooms are large, modern and have technological infrastructure. There are areas where students can do group work, study individually, and common areas. Each building is built to serve a specific purpose; special buildings are allocated for different units such as libraries, laboratories, computer rooms, conference halls and student clubs.

Natural Landscape and Open Spaces

In the building layout of Karmi Campus, attention has been paid to the preservation of green areas and the presence of large park areas. The buildings are surrounded by large gardens and walking paths. These open spaces, where students can relax, do sports or socialize during breaks, constitute an important part of campus life.
